Introduction to Social and Political Philosophy

An introduction to political theories such as conservatism, liberalism, and socialism and their treatment of select social issues.

Class description

Examines contemporary political issues and longstanding questions from political philosophy, such as what rights persons have, what justifies these rights, and when and why the government is justified in using coercion.
