Reading of simple texts with emphasis on reading and writing, conversation skills, grammar, and syntax. Builds a vocabulary of standard Persian in preparation for advanced reading and comprehension of literary texts. Prerequisite: PRSAN 421.
Class description
A more advanced proficiencey in reading, writing, translation, and conversatin in Persian language.
Student learning goals
General method of instruction
Expanding the students' vocabulary, enabling them to enhance their comprehention skills by offering Persian movies, songs, and conversation opportunities. Writing and translating will be a major part of their effort to achieve thier goals.
Recommended preparation
This course follows the Elementary Persian, and Persian 421.
Class assignments and grading
Reading, writing, and translation, in addition to preparing for conversation projects.
40% Midterm Tests; 30% final Exam; 20% homework, and 10% presence and participation.
