Class description
This special topics course is focused on the acquisition and processing of multibeam sonar data for mapping the bathymetry of the ocean seafloor. The course is ideally suited for those students who seek to develop more in-depth skills and an advanced understanding of the concepts behind modern tools for processing acoustic data in seafloor mapping, describing, and estimating spatial patterns and trends in seafloor bathymetry.
