In-depth examination of the literature pertinent to major theoretical issues in parent and child nursing. Seminar with analysis and discussion of selected topics and readings. Implications for research, prevention, and health care stressed. Prerequisite: permission of instructor.
Class description
Students will examine historical contributions to field of infant mental health and evaluate them for inclusion into a working framework of infant mental health.
Students will increase their knowledge of attachment theory and research and relate these to a working framework of infant mental health.
