Weekly journal club in neurobiology. Students read and discuss original research articles in neurobiology, centered around a specific topic each quarter. Prerequisite: BIOL 220. Credit/no-credit only.
In this quarter’s journal club, we will explore the development of neural circuits and ways they could be repaired when damaged by disease or injury. I’ve picked a wide range of great recent papers, each covering a different aspect of our overall topic.
The purpose of the class is to practice your critical thinking and scientific communication skills. Every student will present one paper, and write a review of another paper. There will be short questions associated with each week’s paper.
