Special Topics in Music Theory

Prerequisite: either both MUSIC 303 and MUHST 210 or both MUSIC 312 and MUHST 314.

Class description

This course is centered on Stravinsky's masterpiece, "The Rite of Spring," which will be discussed in its historical context and studied in considerable analytical detail. It is co-listed with MuHst 497B and will be taught jointly by Professors Jonathan Bernard and Larry Starr.
