Introductory Composition

For students not majoring in composition. Prerequisite: MUSIC 202.

Class description

The course focuses on experimentation outside of typical tonal or metrical idioms. There is a basic emphasis on exploring elements such as timbre, spatialization, non-traditional playing techniques, et cetera to serve as the basis of sonic art.
