INFO 498, PHIL 401: Privacy, Accountability, and the Patriot Act Summer: A Term 2004

Professor Moore

In this class we will discuss the moral and legal foundations of privacy and then turn our attention to a number of important problems dealing with privacy and public accountability. Issues to be discussed include: privacy vs. intellectual property and information ownership; government monitoring, libraries, and the Patriot Act; and privacy vs. big media.
