Class description
In Autumn 07, this course aims to develop writing skills, from punctuation to sentence strategies and paragraph structures. Students will also write summaries to learn how to present information in a logical fashion.
This course will also be offered in Winter 08, with content geared toward more advanced students. Students will learn critical, persuasive essay techniques based on analysis of selected readings. Students who will have completed Japan 429 in Autumn 07 may re-enroll in this course as Asian 498 in Winter 08.
Credit for this course may be applied toward the language course requirements for Japanese majors (linguistic option) and Japanese minors.
