Class description
Law, Society and the Future of the Nation-State
Contemporary nation-states are under international and domestic challenges all over the globe. The purpose of this seminar is to introduce the students to a variety of theories that deal with globalization, communities, and local forces that are shaping the nation-state and reform it. It is a comparative politics seminar that requires the students to read cutting-edge theory and apply it to analysis of current important global events. Students will be encouraged to write creative research papers based on class debates and their own independent research.
