Teaching Racial Literacy
Teaching Racial Literacy draws upon and engages with the social and education sciences around the broad theme of race awareness. After mapping out the racial discourses, often referred to as colorblindness and race cognizance, we will consider what inhibits and enables the movement toward greater understanding of race matters. The geographic emphasis will be on the US, Canada, Western Europe, and Latin America.
