Explores value systems within a range of different social and technological environments.

Class description

This class will be a graduate seminar introduction to information ethics. Graduate students who complete this course will be able to teach undergraduate information ethics courses. In this class we will explore different moral theories along with numerous problems related to information ownership and control. Issues to be discussed include: intellectual property, file sharing, free speech, privacy, and national security.
