Information Ethics and Policy

Provides a framework for analyzing the ethical, legal, economic, and socio-political issues surrounding information, information technologies, and the information industries. Explores policy and ethical issues of information access and control including; intellectual property, file sharing, free speech, privacy, and national security.

This class is designed to provide the student with a framework for analyzing the ethical, legal, economic, and socio-political issues surrounding information, information technologies, and the information industries. The class will explore numerous policy and ethical issues of information access and control including: intellectual property, file sharing, free speech, privacy, and national security.
