Weekly group conferences concerning ongoing graduate students and postdoctoral research immunology. Students may register for more than one conference each quarter. Credit/no credit only. Prerequisite: Immunology graduate student and permission of instructor. Offered: AWSpS.
Class description
The course consists of a weekly research conference consisting of a presentation/interactive discussion with active participation by each member of the Pepper Lab. Each student will make a formal presentation of their research during this conference at least once a quarter. Presentations are expected to consist of background, research goals and hypotheses, results, summary of the findings/potential caveats, interim conclusions and discussions of future plans.

1. Current scientific literature relevant to the research project of the graduate student, and 2. Current scientific literature relevant to the on-going research in the Pepper Lab.

Evaluation process: • Ongoing verbal analysis by Dr. Pepper • Questions and critiques by other lab members • Written annual evaluation by Dr. Pepper • Annual evaluation supplemented by written annual report of student’s Supervisory Committee
Students will be evaluated based both on their own presentations/responses to questions during the conference as well as their participation while others present.
