HONORS 100
Seattle Campus
Introduces students to the essential features of the Honors Program, including interdisciplinary thinking, experiential learning, and the Honors portfolio. For University Honors Program students only.
Class description
“Honors at the UW—Knowledge Across the Disciplines” serves to bring honors freshmen together for a "common experience" and introduce interdisciplinary education and the theoretical and practical integration of knowledge. This course is also an introduction to the Honors core curriculum which delves into larger global issues and facilitates the search for interdisciplinary inquiry, deep reflection and self-awareness—with the goal of helping students imagine moving their work beyond the classroom into areas such as research, leadership, community and, ultimately, both local and global engagement.
