Seminar in Southeast Asian History

Selected topics in Southeast Asian history and historiography. Includes preparation for theses and doctoral dissertations on Southeast Asian History. Offered: jointly with JSIS A 582.

Class description

This seminar is a continuation of HSTAS 530. Students who took the earlier course are expected to spend the quarter conducting research in a variety of primary and secondary sources in preparation of a seminar paper to be discussed during the course. We will convene at the beginning of the quarter and meet again during the last three weeks of the quarter to discuss your papers.
