Class description
This course is designed to help improve the students’ grammatical insight in Modern spoken standard Hind¥, their reading abilities, aural/oral, and writing skills, and building their vocabulary.

1. Written homework: 40% application of the grammar studied: 9 homework assignments, 100 pts each. development of writing skills: 3 essays, of 100 pts. 2. Class participation, oral work and reading: 30% class participation (preparation and cooperation through drill sessions): 150 pts. discussion (preparation and cooperation during conversation sessions): 150 pts 3. Tests and final exam: 30% one oral test and two written tests on grammar: 100 pts each final exam (oral and written): totalling 200 pts dictations and vocab quizzes during the year: 100pts total
