Class description
GEN 199 is the introductory to the University. My job is help to direct you towards the many resources and invite into the many options and directions offered by the University of Washington. This class is a CR/NC class, which means all or nothing. There are few assignments but one large portfolio due at the end of the quarter that helps to show student understanding of resources and future goals at the U.
Student learning goals
Goals 1) Have fun and learn about the UW 2) Get familiar with library/online resources 3) Get familiar with the campus hands-on 4) Understand what being a Husky means 5) Learn how to get involved on campus 6) Ask and get all your questions answered
General method of instruction
Loosely constructed lessons with an emphasis on discussion and ideas as a group.
