Class description
Through discussions, class assignments, and field trips students will gain insight as to the workings of the University of Washington as well as all the opportunities UW has to offer.

General method of instruction
Students should come prepared for class discussions, brainstorming, and general sharing of ideas and information.
Recommended preparation
This is an introductory course. Students should come ready to interact with their peers. A working knowledge of word processing is helpful.
Class assignments and grading
There will be in class assignments, 4 excursions, and an online portfolio.
This is a credit/no credit course. All assignments required for credit to be earned. Students will also be graded on in class participation.
