Students will learn more about the University of Washington community and ways to engage and immerse themselve into it.

General method of instruction
The class is based mainly on discussion, therefore students should come prepared to discuss the topic of the week.
Recommended preparation
Come class open-minded, willing to discuss your own beliefs and ideas, and be receptive to ideas that differe from your own.
Class assignments and grading
Assignments are given the week before to prepare students for discussion for the next week. It is crucial that all assignments are completed and done on time to insure that the student is prepared to discuss the chosen topic during class.
All assignments MUST be turned in to pass this class. Students also must not have any unexcused absences.
