Class description
GEN ST 199 serves as introduction to the vast array of resources available at the University of Washington. This includes resources academic, social, medical, psychiatric, and otherwise.

General method of instruction
Class will be held in a seminar format. Students are encouraged to interrupt the instructor often and without fear of reprisal.

Admission to the University of Washington (it's harder than you think...)
Class assignments and grading
Several short writing assignments, a short paper, and a web-based portfolio. More details will be disclosed in class.
All assignments must be completed to the instructor's satisfaction in order to receive credit for this course. Also, attendence is vital and absences will not be well-tolerated.
