Designed to bring students to an advanced level of proficiency in grammar and composition. Emphasis on experiencing the language in context through a multi-media approach. FRENCH 303 prepares students for literature classes. Third in a sequence of three. Prerequisite: FRENCH 302.
Class description
French 303 is geared toward students planning to take literature classes and allows them to complete their studies of the techniques of French composition. This course is conducted exclusively in French.

Lectures, in-class exercises and compositions
Recommended preparation
Students must attend class every day of instruction, including the conversation sessions. They must keep up with the weekly readings and gramar, vocabulary and or composition exercises.
Class assignments and grading
Number of graded take home assignments: 5 one page compositions with double correction by instructor 3 one page in class compositions and 2 grammar/vocabulary exams, plus comprehensive final exam.
