Class Description
This graduate level seminar is designed to provide graduate students with the opportunity to learn about current research projects being conducted within the Center for International Trade in Forest Products (CINTRAFOR). In addition, outside speakers may be invited to discuss current topics related to the forest products industry and international trade in forest products. CINTRAFOR funded graduate students are also asked to provide a presentation of the results obtained from their research project.
Class sessions are conducted in a seminar format.
Recommended preparation
Student participation in seminar discussions is essential to the success of the course. Students are strongly encouraged to take an active role in seminar discussions.
Class Assignments and Grading
Students may be required to read and be prepared to discuss (or lead a discussion of) articles from academic journals or the summary of research results obtained by other class participants.
Final grades are based on class attendance, class participation, and student presentation of the research results.
