Fundamentals of oral and written Finnish. Second in a sequence of three. Prerequisite: FINN 101.
Class description
This is a course in elementary Finnish Language. The course will be taught primarily but not exclusively in Finnish. In addition to language, topics will include introductory lessons in Finnish culture, such as music, film, history and customs.
Student learning goals
Students will be able to describe themselves and basics about their life in Finnish.
Students will be able to navigate real-life situations in a Finnish context, such as shopping, traveling, and visiting.
Students will be able to begin, progress, and end conversations given limited, everyday contexts.

Student assessment will include active participation in class, short daily homework assignments, short quizzes, longer exams, and a conversational exam.
