Composition: Exposition

Study and practice of good writing: topics derived from a variety of personal, academic, and public subjects. Cannot be taken if student has already received a grade of 2.0 or higher in either ENGL 111, ENGL 121, or ENGL 131.

Class description

English 121 requires the completion of 20-40 hours of service work outside of class.

This course is a writing course designed to fulfill the university's composition credit. Through writing and service work, students will learn to think critically about the relationship between poverty, policy, and service.
