Study and practice of good writing: topics derived from a variety of personal, academic, and public subjects. Cannot be taken if student has already received a grade of 2.0 or higher in either ENGL 111, ENGL 121, or ENGL 131.
Class description
Where are you going? Where have you been?: This class will take a genre-approach to composition. This means we will consider how writing is shaped by audience, discipline, situation, etc. You will learn the techniques writers use in different disciplines and how to approach unfamiliar writing situations with particular strategies for success.
Note: This is a CIC class, meaning half of our classes will be held in a computer classroom.
