Concepts, principles, and techniques concerned with the design, testing, and application of general-purpose problem-oriented computer programs for analyzing large-scale systems.
In this project-intensive course, students will learn to build a SPICE-like circuit simulator implemented through C programming.
Student learning goals
Practical knowledge of how to build an efficient circuit simulator.
General method of instruction
It is strongly recommended that you only take the course if you have used either HSPICE or PSPICE in the past. Prior familiarity with C is desirable but not essential.
Class assignments and grading
Strong emphasis on project work. Little or no homework.
