Discrete Time Linear Systems

Discrete time signals and systems, impulse response, convolution, Z-transforms, discrete time Fourier analysis. Computer laboratory. Prerequisite: 1.0 in E E 235.

Class description

Course Goals: To continue our study of linear systems, make an important transition to discretely-sampled signals and systems, and learn about some new transforms which are an essential part of modern electrical engineering practice. We will also use computer simulation, such as MATLAB, to demonstrate both time domain and frequency domain signal processing operations. To help illustrate these concepts, some application will be discussed.
