Individual or group study projects on the improvement of instruction with attention to designing instructional plans.
Class description
This course explores how children and adults acquire a second language and how this process relates to classroom pedagogy. We will look at different theories on second language acquisition; for example, from a cognitive, interactionist, and sociocultural perspective. Students will be encouraged to critically discuss and examine these.
