Projects in Acting

Rehearsal and classroom performance of dramatic literature of various periods and styles.

Class description

Autumn Quarter 2009 -

This Projects in Acting class is an opportunity for students to be introduced to the educational and professional practices of faculty in the School of Drama (Mark Jenkins, Cathy Madden, Judy Shahn, Andrew Tsao, Jon Jory and Shanga Parker). Students will perform scenes and monologues relating to topics in voice, Alexander Technique, Stanislavsky, text analysis, camera work, cold-reading etc.). Auditions will be held on Monday 28 September 6-8pm and Tuesday 29 September 11am-1pm. You will be asked to do one monologue of your choosing.
