Class description
Students prepare two audition pieces and perform in a simulated audition situation, rehearsing entrances, introduction, monologues and closure. Weeks three and four address crowd scenes and small roles. In the final six weeks, students work in small groups to present connecting scenes from a single play, sustaining energy and playing clear actions through several scenes and shifting circumstances.
An audition is required sometime during the year-long Drama 250 series and is part of the student's Drama 253 grade.
