Class description
Awareness of the importance of good construction accounting practices, knowledge of the management information gained through proper recordkeeping, and ability to analyze products of the accounting process to make reasonable decisions when estimating, planning, scheduling, building, and controlling a construction project.

General method of instruction
Lecture/problem-solving led by the instructor and, as invited, any guests. Students opportunity to participate depends necessarily on class size and the material to be covered.
Recommended preparation
Prerequisites ACCTG 215 and 225, as well as basic Excel skills. This course is required for CM juniors.
Class assignments and grading
Seven homework assignments submitted as Excel workbooks.
Students earn scores on four multiple-choice exams and the seven homework assignments. Grades are based on their total scores.
