Class description
BreakOut! is a program that is designed to help UW students, ideally from South Seattle, mentor kids from Evergreen High School and receive academic credit for it. Based on theories of radical education, it aims to bridge the theory and practice divide by putting our education to use as we learn.
We will meet as a class on campus and make group trips down to Evergreen (transportation provided) to meet with the high school students. We've met with them several times this quarter and they are very committed to this program.
Contact Amy Peloff if you have any questions about this program.
