Class description
This discussion based course examines a wide variety of texts (literary, anthropological, film, etc) that help us think through the historical and contemporary issues associated with travel, tourism, cultural exchange, etc. We will pay keen attention to social difference and power relations based on race, location, geography, class, and gender.
