Student learning goals

General method of instruction

Recommended preparation

The class will be using the text: " The Cosmic Perspective, Stars, Galaxies and Cosmology edition, 5th ed." There is not a significant difference from the fourth edition so if you have access to a used copy of the fourth edition you will be fine. The Bookstore is only selling the ($$$) version of the text with a "media pack," which is _not_ required, feel free to order the book online from your favorite online bookstore (Amazon etc.).

Summery: You will need a copy of either the 4th or 5th edition of the Cosmic Perspective: Stars, Galaxies and Cosmology

Class assignments and grading

The information above is intended to be helpful in choosing courses. Because the instructor may further develop his/her plans for this course, its characteristics are subject to change without notice. In most cases, the official course syllabus will be distributed on the first day of class.
