Class description

ART 360 Drawing as Research is for the purpose of exploring personal individual content in the direct, expedient, intimate methods and materials of contemporary works-on-paper. Students learn ways to take responsibility for their own themes and source material, whether be it traditional still life material, appropriated collage material, or other contemporary sources. The attitude of instruction is a focus on process over resulting product. Critique of “good” or “deficient” is set aside for an emphasis on investigation and enthusiasm.
