Topics in Studio Art and Practice

Examines a variety of cutting edge, emerging, and interdisciplinary approached in studio art and practice. Topics vary.

Class description

This studio course offers the senior IVA student an opportunity to develop exhibition quality artwork in the two dimensional discipline of their choice. The course culminates with a group exhibition of student work open to the general public.

Student learning goals

General method of instruction

Instruction will primarily be tutorial in nature with an emphasis on individual discussion with the instructor and small format group critiques and presentations.

Recommended preparation

Advanced junior and senior Art majors with interdisciplinary visual arts background.
