Intermediate Painting

Prerequisite: ART 257.

Class Description

ART 307 INTERMEDIATE PAINTING Winter 2003 5 credits, max. 10

A continuing exploration of painting issues raised at the introductory level. Questions of scale, indirect painting and subject matter will be the focus of this class.

A deeper exploration of process, materials and vocabulary of oil painting. The focus and growth inside of one subject matter: the still life.

This class requires a serious commitment.

In-class painting from observation - painting outside the class from observation.
