Dye processes, pattern development, relationship of images/ideas to cloth as they relate to the social and cultural context.

Lecture, demonstration, gallery and site visits, slide presentations, and historical examples.

Art foundation courses
Class assignments and grading
Provide historic and cross references and awareness of contemporary applications.
Full participation in class, completion of all assigned work on time, creative problem solving, evidence of skills acquisition and development over duration of course.
