Introduces the core philosophical, aesthetic, and technical issues relevant to the field. Hands-on experience with basic aspects of weaving, surface design, and dye principles, in addition to discussions and readings concerning material culture and the multimedia nature of the field. Prerequisite: ART 121; ART 123; ART 124.
