Drawing

Drawing studied as the means of creating a coherent visual and expressive statement. Development of ability in the fundamentals of drawing: line, tone, and gesture, theory and practice of linear and aerial perspective, and basic concepts of composition. Offered: AWSp.

Class description

Drawing fundamentals of line, value, space, and compositional organization.

General method of instruction

Primary emphasis will be on landscape. Individual and group critiques.

Recommended preparation

None.

Class assignments and grading

Assignments will address a broad spectrum of issues with landscape as a focus.

Effort, progress, and quality of work.
