Study of grammar, with oral and written drill and reading of simple texts. (Cannot be taken for credit if 401 taken.) Prerequisite: ARAB 411.
Arab 412 is the second class in sequence for first-year-level of Arabic. Students are expected to know the alphabet, which is taught in Arab 411 (first in sequence).
There will be a more focused strategy used to increase the level of interaction in the class. Expect to answer simple questions in Arab412-13 (the last 2 classes in sequence for first-year level-Arabic)
It is recommended to have a simple Arabic-English dictionary to help you find meanings for some words that you may not otherwise know the meaning of. Also, using the dictionary makes you familiar with the "roots" of the words in Arabic.
