Class description
"Labor, Identity & Knowledge in Health Care"
Presents anthropological perspectives on the provision of health care as a complex social phenomenon. Explores the division of labor in health care. Examines how particular social groups come to occupy particular positions within these arrangements. Considers how different forms of knowledge and skills are gained (through experience and/or formal education), how they are differentially recognized and valued, and how they may be sources of personal identity.
