BISIA 374: Arts Workshop : Dance, Community, and Built Environment (2credits) Instructor: Pat Graney, Pat Graney Dance Company, Keeping the Faith
Times and dates of instruction: Friday, November 4, 5:30-9 pm; Saturday, November 5, 9-1 and 2-6 pm; Sunday, November 6, 1-6 pm, North Creek Events Center. Performance on Monday, November 7, 5:30 pm, UW Bothell campus.
This workshop introduces participants to processes of creating large-scale community dance. Drawing from Pat Graney Company’s 500-person ‘The Chair Spectacle,’ the workshop will enable students to develop their skills in improvisation,composition, ensemble performance, and staging-site specific performance work.
