Explores how art is made in specified areas of inquiry, genre, or media. Arts may include visual, written, or performance arts, or a combination of these.
Was Prince Hamlet crazy or was it madness with method in it? Was Queen Gertrude a prude or did she orchestrate a political take over? Why did Ophelia have to die? Project Hamlet is a script analysis course focused on the script by William Shakespeare - Hamlet, Prince of Denmark - in order to find answers to these questions and more. Students will engage in an in-depth script analysis with the purpose of producing scenes from the play. These scenes will be based on what we learn and be directed, acted and designed by the students.
