Directed Study/Research

Opportunity for directed group or individual research on a topic/theme mutually agreed upon by instructor and student.

Class description

This section of independent research and writing focuses on a student government capstone project.

Student learning goals

* to reflect articulately on student government experiences

* to identify and articulate key ideas and tasks of an ASUWB president

* suggest thoughtful and useful revisions to current ASUWB bylaws

General method of instruction

Independent research and writing.

Recommended preparation

Class assignments and grading

Student will produce or revise three documents:

ASUWB President’s Manual ASUWB Bylaws Revision Year-end Summary of Accomplishments

ASUWB President’s Manual--> 12-15 pages (45 percent) ASUWB Bylaws Revision--> 12 pages (45 percent) Year-end Summary of Accomplishments--> 1-2 pages (10 percent)
