Class description
A Theatre of Situations: Games as Workshop, Games as Performance
This course offering is an IAS intensive InterArts Arts Workshop course that examines the intersections between movement, theatre, and sculptural games as significant modes of creativity and innovation. Students will research, experience, and devise the variety of games that will then be used as formats for imagining new social communities, narratives, and theatres. This course project has connections to work developed by innovators such as David Edwards, Keith Sawyer, and Tom Kelley on the interplay between art and science.
Final showing of work at the Chancellor's Forum on Innovation and Creativity in mid-February.
