Class description
Creativity Studies
In this course we will investigate the significance of the creative process, and more particularly, how it acts as an interdisciplinary methodology for generating new cultural forms. After an introduction to models and practices of creativity across cultures, we will explore several key examples in the history of creativity, particularly as they relate to both the arts and sciences, as well as some of the applications of the creative process. As we consider various aspects of creativity, we will develop numerous methods for exploring, shaping, and refining our ideas through writing as well as a workshop component in class in order to interact with the materials at multiple levels. For more on this course, please feel free to contact Dr. Kochhar-Lindgren at KKochhar@uwb.edu
