Topics in Psychology

Examination of a specific topic in order to provide a deeper understanding of a particular aspect of psychology. Topics may include the history of psychology; human memory; dreaming; cognitive psychology.

Class description

This course will provide an introduction to the discipline of health psychology. Health psychology is an interdisciplinary area of study that examines the interaction between human behaviors, mental states, culture, and physical health. During this course you will gain knowledge regarding the history of health psychology and critical theories relevant to the field, and you will gain an understanding of the roles of individuals, society and cultural factors in influencing health and health related behaviors.
