Class description
Course Title: The Role of Higher Education: Purposes, Problems & Prospects
The focus of this course is to examine the role of higher education, its purposes, problems and prospects in the past, present and future. The course offers an opportunity to conduct research on a broad spectrum of major competing theories, methodologies and practices on functions of higher education in the western intellectual tradition—with an opportunity and encouragement to pursue comparative study of higher education between the United States and other countries.
